Hi, I'm Shelly!

Hi, I’m Shelly Denning, a lifelong artist, maker, and passionate supporter of creativity in all its forms. Based in Denton, Texas, I founded Shelly’s Artspace to create a vibrant community where art and crafts bring people together to make, learn, and connect.

My journey as an artist has been anything but conventional. From exploring fantasy and horror art to becoming a leading special effects makeup artist in Dallas/Fort Worth, I’ve always loved transforming ideas into something tangible and unique. After returning to fine art and earning my Studio Art degree from the University of North Texas, I felt inspired to share my knowledge and experiences with others.

Shelly’s Artspace started in 2024 as a way to host creative craft parties and events that bring joy to people of all ages. Whether you’re making a personalized gift, exploring a new skill, or simply unwinding with friends, my goal is to make art accessible, fun, and memorable for everyone.

I also sell art supplies, craft kits, and original artwork to help spark creativity at home. My vision is to expand Shelly’s Artspace into a full brick-and-mortar creative hub, offering workshops, studio rentals, artist services, and more in 2025.
